Teaching & community

Teaching practical skills, supporting people through difficult situations, and helping a team or community do its work.

Teaching that goes beyond explaining

At Trinity Tactical, I combined day-to-day management with hands-on instruction for civilian and law-enforcement learners. The subjects involved physical skills, sound judgment, and composure under pressure. My job was to help people understand and practice the work, then give them feedback they could act on.

I managed the retail and training facility while hiring, training, and developing employees. Instruction and team leadership were part of the same daily responsibility.

Freelance instruction and communication

My instructional work also included freelance assignments for organizations such as The Elite You. Alongside assistant-instructor work there, I handled community conversations, photography, video, website copy, and promotional materials.

That combination meant working directly with people and helping explain the work to those encountering it for the first time.

Support work with the Trauma Survivors Foundation

As a volunteer Board Director & Crisis Interventionist, my work with the Foundation included crisis support and mental-health education, including suicide awareness and coping skills.

Listening, discussing difficult subjects, and helping people understand practical coping approaches were a substantial part of my experience. This work sits alongside my operational and communications contributions to the Foundation.

Helping bring community events to life

I helped plan and coordinate Delaware Beer Fest and the Foundation's Black Tie & Sneakers Gala. I contributed website development, event promotion, digital communication, and sponsorship outreach.

These were collaborative events. My contribution was part of the larger Foundation team's work, connecting a nonprofit mission with the information people needed to attend, participate, and support it.

What this experience brings to a new role

Practical instruction, staff development, clear communication, and experience working with people when a subject is unfamiliar or emotionally difficult. The settings vary, but the responsibility remains personal: understand what someone needs and help them take a useful next step.
